Meet Cayla + Joel Krop
Hiya! This is Cayla here, I am a passionate Jesus follower that has had the incredible opportunity to be the mama to two magical little girls, one incredible little boy, and marry the love of my life. We have our own homestead in Lillington NC and we are blessed to spend most of our family time running around with chickens, picking blueberries and having friends and family over for lattes and sourdough bread. We are living out many of our dreams due to God blessing us in unbelievable ways. My three amazing kiddos are my whole world and I am so thankful I get to spend the days I am not loving on mamas or mamas-to-be hanging out and playing with them!
My passion for childbirth started when I dove into research, classes and all the things to prep for my very first birth with my daughter. My eyes were opened to how incredible birth was created by God to be and the fear and anxiety so many friends of mine had about birth didn’t have to be there! Birth shouldn’t have to be this thing you just survived and suffered through to meet your baby but it could be and was meant to be an experience of mama and dad relying on each other, delighting in the beauty and chaos and being edified and strengthened before growing their family. After having my first two delightful home birth experiences I decided I wanted to dive into providing education and support for mama’s and dads to help them have birth experiences they look back on with joy and delight. I recently had my 3rd babe in 2024 and was again reminded of the intense delight even in the hard work that can be experienced through labor and birth.
My husband Joel has come alongside me in this adventure because after taking the Bradley method courses with our first pregnancy he realized the importance of his role as husband and father when it came to pregnancy and birth. He has a desire to encourage and empower dads to step into being involved throughout pregnancy and learning how to truly love their wives well throughout the labor process.
We (Cayla + Joel) teach the birth classes together because birth is a family affair and learning about it should be too! We have found teaching this class together not only creates a wonderful community aspect for us but also helps dads dive into the class with more interest and connection because it’s not just a lady talking about birth but a couple sharing their insight and experiences together! We have been so blessed to experience the delight of childbirth 3 times and can’t wait to give you the tools and encouragement to have a truly positive birth experience for mama and dad!
